How do I control who adds themselves to my NewsFlash page's email distribution list when I have the "Subscribe to this NewsFlash" button active?

There are two options that will give you full control over who is added to your NewsFlash list.

  • One option is to fully remove the "Subscribe to this NewsFlash" button.  To do this, go to your Update page and click the "Manage Options" link.  Enter your password when prompted.  Uncheck the "Allow Users to Subscribe" checkbox for that page, then submit the update.

    When the button has been deactivated, you can still fully control your email list by going to your Update page and clicking the
    "Create/Edit Email List For This Page" button.

  • Another option would be to set up a password for the "Subscribe to this NewsFlash" button.  To do this, go to your Update page and click the "Manage Options" link.  Enter your password when prompted.  Check the "Require Password" checkbox for any page on which you would like the button to be restricted.  Enter a password in the "Subscribe Password" box.  Submit the update.

    You will be able to view the passwords you've chosen at any time
    by going to the "Manage Options" section and checking the "Passwords Visible" checkbox near the bottom of the page.
