Importing Grades from Easy Grade Pro

See the 1st set of instructions if you are using Easy Grade Pro 3.6.
See the 2nd set of instructions if you are using Easy Grade Pro 4.0 or higher.

  • Exporting/Importing Easy Grade Pro (version 3.6) Web Pages
    • Before exporting grades from Easy Grade Pro, a Password must be entered in for each student.  The Password is different from the ID number, but you can enter each ID into the Password field for each student - then you will not need to give out new codes to all of your students.  To do this, open your gradebook file in Easy Grade Pro and select "Student" from the "Chart" menu.  On the resulting page, a Password column will be present - you may need to scroll to the right to find it.  Enter in each student's ID in the corresponding Password field.

    • To export your grades, select "Internet..." from the File menu in Easy Grade Pro.

    • In the "Internet Reports" window that appears, select "Multi-class Website Reports" and press "Next".  On the options page, make any desired changes and click "Create".

    • The next window gives a reminder to save your exported files in an new, empty folder - click "Yes".  In the Save window, create a new, empty folder - make sure to choose an easy-to-find location such as your Desktop.  Type in "Grades.html" (without the quotes) as the main grades file's name and press "Save".
(Important Note - DO NOT use the default "index.html" name or anything other than Grades.html.  Using an incorrect file name here will prevent the import from working properly.)

    • To import your grades, go to your Update Grades page and first click "Reset Gradebook to Default" (if that option is visible on the page).  Then, select "I want to upload the web files my gradebook creates for me" and wait for the folder upload window to load (Easy Grade Pro will already be selected).

    • Click the "Add" button and then use the mouse to select the new folder you created when exporting from Easy Grade Pro - make sure to select the folder that contains the following files and one subfolder:

      FILES: SUBFOLDER:
      frame1.html AllClasses
      frame2.html
      Grades.html
      graphic.gif
      security.gif

Once you have selected the folder, press "OK" (do not press "Open").  Click "Upload" and wait until a "Your grades have been saved" message appears at the bottom of the page.

    • When you return to your Grades page, the original page will be replaced with your imported Easy Grade Pro web pages.  To import a new set of grades, go to your Update Grades page by clicking the "Update" link for your Grades page on your Update Index.

  • Exporting/Importing Easy Grade Pro (version 4.0 or higher) Web Pages
    • Before exporting grades from Easy Grade Pro, a Password must be entered in for each student.  The Password is different from the ID number, but you can enter each ID into the Password field for each student - then you will not need to give out new codes to all of your students.  To do this, open your gradebook file in Easy Grade Pro and select "Student" from the "Chart" menu.  On the resulting page, a Password column will be present - you may need to scroll to the right to find it. Enter in each student's ID in the corresponding Password field.

    • To export your grades, select "Email/Internet..." from the File menu in Easy Grade Pro.

    • Select "Create Website Reports" in the "Action" drop-down box and choose "All classes" in the "for" drop-down box.  Then, in the Options tab, place a check in the box next to "Include Multiple Classes (in each report)". This will cause all of the students' grades to be combined into a single subdirectory, using the same TeacherWeb®-compatible format that is used in Easy Grade Pro 3.6.

    • When you reach the Save window, create a new, empty folder - make sure to choose an easy-to-find location such as your Desktop.

    • Note for users of Easy Grade Pro Version 4.1 or higher: The internet and export features have been hidden in Easy Grade Pro 4.1. It is possible to activate these features as follows:
